What are a list of animes you MUST watch in order to be a true anime fan?

I'm trying to get my sister into anime, so I need a list of MUST WATCH animes ever fan should have in their repertoire, and cuz I've watched so many, I think I'm forgetting tons.
What's a list of what you think are "must watches" in order to be a true anime fan?

There isn't one. Depends entirely subjectively on what she likes!

There isn't certain anime that makes you a "true anime fan" watching Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, FMA doesn't make someone a "true" anime fan because they've seen popular series but doesn't stop them from being an anime fan because they've seen what they like.

What I watched first wasn't conventional to most people, I watched Neon Genesis Evangelion first, though I wouldn't recommend she does since it's not very easy to get into and not really the "starter anime" but I enjoyed it so this just proves that it is entirely subjective.

I can list a few things I've enjoyed from every genre that are not the easy options like (Death Note, Code Geass, Rurouni Kenshin and so on).

Watch in no particular order and only if the plot looks appealing to her. It also depends on how old she is and whether she appreciated genres such as psychological, mystery or horror OR whether she wants something strictly down to earth, slice of life, comedy, romance. So I have literally put a mix of everything!

For me those, these are all series easy to get into and draw a potential fan into liking anime.
