Hi,
I have the Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 HD Charter Digital Cable.
When I don't watch a show for awhile... like 5 hours, then it says "press any key to watch tv". The problem I have with this is that when I record a show from my computer, it has that up on the screen.
Does anyone know a way to get rid of this?
Are you trying to record WITH a separate recorder?
That's why they set the box up that way. So you have to RENT the DVR from them !
I know...it GRABs...but that's the way it is...
Now, you might find a Charter-friend that knows his way around that, and can internally reprogram the box...but I wouldn't hold my breath, because I would be dead before that would happen.
