Dramatic irony, verbal irony, and irony of the situation? Say someone has really long, beautiful hair and her boyfriend is a Gold Watch of great value. The young girl sells her hair to buy the boyfriend of a string his watch, but the boyfriend sells his watch to buy the girlfriend a set of shelves. He can not use the Watch Chain b / c he just sold his watch, but the girlfriend can not use the shelves because she just sold her hair. What kind of irony is present on the 3 choices above?
Read "The Gift of the Magi" lately? LOL dramatic: the audience knows something the characters do not. Means verbal characters say something thing or the opposite side, about what they mean.
