What is the best way to travel between Rome and Vaduz?

I'll be going on a "eurotrip" with some friends of mine this summer, and we would like to visit Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Unfortunately, Vaduz has neither a train station nor an airport. What would be the best way to get from Rome to Vaduz? (What would be the most inexpensive way?)

Specifics such as a bus number or airport and train station names would be highly appreciated!

Vaduz, the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein can be reached by bus either from the Austrian side (train station Feldkirch, 34 minutes) or from the Swiss side (train station Sargans, 30 minutes).
A trip from Rome by train would be all day/night long. Sample itineraries are:

The best way would be a flight from Rome to Zürich Airport (1h 40m).
From Zürich Airport trainstation to Zürich HB by train in 10 - 14 minutes,
from Zürich HB to Sargans by train in 1hour 7 minutes
from Sargans to Vaduz by bus in 30 minutes.
However, there are no cheap flights available for this destination.

I would recommend the following itinerary (wednesday or friday):

18:35 arrive at Basel Airport
19:45 depart from Basel Airport on Bus 50 (earlier buses every 7-8 minutes)
19:57 arrive at Basel SSB (central train station)

22:19 arrive at Sargans
22:26 depart from Sargans by bus 11067
22:56 arrive at Vaduz
