Machine Mens

i bought a sweater from pacsun the other day and i got it in a medium when i shouldve got it in a small since im a girl and i got this is mens size.
i want it to shrink in the washer&dryer machine, it says on the tag to wash it in cool water
im wondering if i wash it in warm water will it shrink?..i know the dryer shrinks things too, but im just wondering.
the sweater is 50%polyester, 38%cotton, 12%rayon
help?
ohhh and i cant take the sweater back because the reciept got thrown away.
well it's not going to shrink that much because it's mens size for one, and a size too big, plus it doesn't have much cotton. if you want to still try it, then yeah, it might shrink some in the drier. things won't shrink in the washer.
