Deco Pocket

I bought a painting from an Israeli art student from an interfaith art school in Jerusalem. The painting is entitled "The Five Angels" and is painted on coconut hair canvas with oil based paints. It's sort of Art Deco with simple lines and colours depicting five figures, none of whom has a detailed face. They stand in a desert and their hands are in their pockets and their feet buried in the sand. The student told me this was a story common to all abrahamic religions - that they have no face with which to judge you, no hands to take from you and no feet so they will not leave you. I'm religious but I found it rather sweet and fell in love with the painting instantly This is a story I've been unable to find anywhere else, I was just wondering if someone could tell me where it comes from.
The five are the leaders of the Fallen Watchers. They have never been looked at by humans, which is why they have no defined faces. They are not in our 3D space, so they don't have hands or feet within our world. They are projections of light and are not real within the physical realm.
