is there any way i can get my golden chinese algae eater to stop chasing my rainbow shark and cory cats?

if theres no solution i will give the golden chinese algae eater to my friend this weekend he has a tank full of guppies, would the golden chinese algae eater get along with the guppies?
and also is there any algae eater i can get besides snails? thats not too aggresive as this guy was?

Try a peaceful co-existance experiment with oscars. Those so-called algae eaters get nastier, more predatory and more territorial as they grow towards their full 9 or 11 inches. They will just get harder and harder on the other fish.

Rainbow sharks also get territorial - at least with similar fish. So you may want to get rid of the xanthic (lacking black pigment or melanophores) algae eater so he doesn't especially focus on the rainbow shark. Sadly, euthanasia may be the option.
