Can someone rewrite The clause THAT IS MADE CONTRARY TO ANY APPLICABLE OFFER, DISCOUNT, PROMOTION OR COUPON in plain English that a 8 years old would understand?
And it would be appreciated if someone can list some sources regarding the issues of contract breach, specifically in ecommerce and chain stores.
No, sellers does not, necessarily have the absolute right to revoke the order. I would, though, check other language in their website Terms of Use. What they mean, here, is that if you attempt tp misuse coupons, offers, discounts, etc., then they may cancel the order, IN THAT SITUATION.
Breach of Contract is when two parties agree to a deal - they sell and you buy, for $XX, from their website, then either you fail to pay, or they fail to deliver. (There are other reasons for breach of contract, but these are the two most basic.)
I would look up Black's Law Dictionary, or a hornbook known as Lewiston on Contracts (the second book, though, is very technical and will cite to the origins of breach of contract as a cause of action in the Courts, as well as cases in which it has been cited.
